ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

- The Ramure D'Or Awards Film Festival accepts submissions of short films between 1 and 50 minutes

- All submitted movies not spoken in English or French MUST have English or French language subtitles available for the jury evaluation.

- All entry fees are non-refundable even if an applicant decides to withdraw a submission.

- The decisions of the festival selection committee and jury will be final and indisputable.

- The submitted movies MUST BE the entrant's original work. The projects SHALL NOT infringe on any copyrights or other rights of third parties. Contestants agree that they have obtained all required copyright; regarding music, sound, and images; presented in their film. Therefore filmmakers MUST have all rights associated with their short films and allow us to use movie stills for online publicity purposes.

- The Ramure D'Or Awards organizers reserve the right to change, cancel or re-schedule the dates, awards & categories without prior consent or information to contestants and/or submitters.

- The Ramure D'Or Awards organizers accept movies completed after 2013 onwards.

- The Ramure D'Or Awards organizers reserve the right not to award any or all prizes.

- Premiere status is not required or mandatory.
- Movies produced in Canada have a special 30% fee discount and can be submitted to the CANADIAN SHORT FILM category.

- Each submitted movie must be in the correct category. Otherwise, it will be disqualified.

- All movies which do not comply with these requirements and guidelines will be considered non-eligible for consideration.

 

SCREENING GUIDELINES (ONLY FOR SELECTED FILMS)

- The Ramure D'Or Awards organizers will not publish the full-length film without the submitter's permission. If the filmmaker decides not to screen the movie online, we will only show the short films privately to the Festival Jury.

- Movies MUST BE subtitled in either French or English if the original language is neither French nor English.

- Submitters must provide an Unlisted Youtube or Password Protected Vimeo online screener valid until the end of the festival.

 

NOTIFICATIONS

- Submitters will be notified of the selection or rejection of their movies by email around early August 2022.

- After the selection announcement of a movie for the competition, the filmmaker is notified via email only. 

- The selected movies will be screened on the festival's official website for 20 days. 

- All submitters of selected movies will be informed only via email. The official selection will be listed on social media and the festival website. 

- The Ramure D'Or Awards organizers will not take into consideration any inquiries or arguments regarding non-selected films. Therefore, the decision of the selection committee and jury will be final and indisputable.

STUDENT SHORT FILM:

- First Deadline: from June 10th to June 30th: 25 USD

- Last Deadline: from July 1st to July 31st: 35 USD

 

EXPERIMENTAL SHORT FILM:

- First Deadline: from June 10th to June 30th: 30 USD

- Last Deadline: from July 1st to July 31st: 45 USD

 

ANIMATION SHORT FILM:

- First Deadline: from June 10th to June 30th: 30 USD

- Last Deadline: from July 1st to July 31st: 45 USD
